Transcend Education has trained 126 teachers on modern learning techniques as part of efforts to equip educators with skills required for evolving classroom demands. The teachers were trained during the organization’s “Teach Forward Summit 2.0”, held at Glisten International Academy, Abuja, in collaboration with Fassara Education Abuja.
Abba Saidu, executive director of Glisten International Academy, said the summit, which is now in its second year, has become a movement that recognises that classrooms are evolving, and teachers must evolve with them.

Danielle Perez, founder of Transcend Education, said the summit was put together to help teachers to rethink and retool their approaches to teaching. Perez added that the initiative is aimed at strengthening teaching capacity through exposure to future-ready skills, noting that education systems are changing and require more adaptive methods. According to her, the transformation in education is already underway, saying, “the future of education is not coming; it is already here.”

At the end of the summit, five teachers were selected for a mentorship programme with Eni Ogon, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board Chair of Teenee Todds and Broadoaks British School, in recognition of their participation.
