FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lagos, Nigeria, October 2026
Transcend Education is strengthening its efforts to equip young Nigerians with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to make informed decisions about their education, careers and future through its Pathways to Possibility (P2P) programme.
P2P is a student development programme designed to help young people understand their strengths, explore their potential, develop essential life skills and gain greater clarity about their future pathways. The programme recognises that preparing young people for the future requires more than academic knowledge; it also requires self-awareness, effective communication, critical thinking, confidence, decision-making and career readiness.
Through interactive workshops, practical activities, discussions, role plays, reflection exercises and real-life scenarios, P2P focuses on six key areas: self-awareness and personal development, decision-making and critical thinking, communication and public speaking, professional etiquette, goal setting and self-management, and career exploration.
“Our work is centred on helping young people recognise that their future is not simply something they wait for; it is something they can intentionally build,” said Jemimah Ubani, P2P Project Lead, Transcend Education.
“Through Pathways to Possibility, we want students to understand themselves better, recognise their strengths, communicate with confidence, make informed decisions and explore possibilities that align with their aspirations.”
Preparing Young People for What Comes Next
P2P is designed to help students move beyond simply having aspirations to understanding the skills, choices and steps required to pursue them. The programme also develops transferable skills such as teamwork, emotional intelligence, problem-solving, adaptability, resilience, leadership and self-management.
By the end of the programme, students are expected to demonstrate greater confidence and self-awareness, communicate more effectively, make thoughtful decisions, set meaningful goals, work collaboratively and identify potential education and career pathways.
Throughout October, Transcend Education will use its platforms to highlight the challenges young people face when making education and career choices and share practical approaches for helping them move from uncertainty to purposeful action.
